Glamping
Our accommodation is super cozy and our prices competitive. We have two glamping pods and a shepherd's hut - all with free Wifi, a fire-pit, ensuite & kitchenette - and of course those stunning coastal views we keep mentioning. Like many, we operate a two-night minimum stay April to October.
Caravans & Motorhomes
We have a small 5 pitch motorhome and caravan site with large, hardstanding pitches, each with their own EHU, water and grey waste points. Please note there are no shower/toilet facilities. The touring site is open most of the year apart from when we, too, have some ad hoc time off!
Local Area
You will enjoy uninterrupted views across the Pentland Firth to the Orkney Islands as well as the high cliffs of Dunnet Head on your left and the island of Stroma on your right. We are ideally located to explore several local attractions and there are footpaths to the sea shore from the doorstep.

Inspired by the surrounding landscape, The Crofter's Snug was born in 2016 offering a welcome break to travellers touring mainland Scotland's north east coastline. We all love travelling but it can be exhausting! Whether you're arriving by car, caravan or motorhome, we provide the perfect place to pause and take a breather for a couple of nights or make the most of the area and stay for a few days. We're located six miles west of John O'Groats, just a field or two away from the popular NC500 tourist route and ideally placed to explore this fabulous stretch of the Caithness coastline.
